Jennifer Ellis

Jennifer Ellis has always been interested in wellbeing and living a healthy lifestyle. Growing up in South Africa, her enthusiasm in contemporary dance and fitness led her to qualify as a dance teacher. Following her relocation to the UK she successfully worked her way up in the recruitment industry and found she was naturally drawn to yoga over 25 years ago. Jennifer saw the importance of her personal yoga practice in allowing her to find balance in her corporate life. Inspired by the sweeping intelligence and profundity of yoga, she was compelled to share her experience, and more, with others. She subsequently undertook extensive training, a 500Hr Teacher Training Certificate and continues to hone her teaching skills and her practice. She regards yoga as accessible to everyone, regardless of their physical ability and age, and encourages everyone to work at their own pace. Jennifer teaches with an open mind and in a neutral and natural way, which enables students to enjoy a change in lifestyle through their yoga practice.

Jennifer is the co-founder of The Yoga Wellness Company. She has a London based teaching practice across several studios as well as private tuition and teaches on a number of yoga retreats.

Kate Lovell

Kate Lovell was born in Boston, but has always felt a strong pull towards Europe.  She studied French and Italian at University and then moved to London to get a master’s degree in 2005 before becoming a certified yoga teacher, health coach (and later a British citizen).

Kate’s yoga practice helped her through cultural transitions, stressful exams, desk work and back problems, which is why she’s so passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga with others.  She has had extensive training with gifted and inspiring teachers from a variety of movement and therapy backgrounds in order to teach yoga as a means of healing the body, calming the mind, and connecting you to a deeper sense of being in this world.

Kate specializes in Vinyasa Flow, Yoga for Beginners, Women’s Yoga, Meditation, and Health Coaching.Her teaching style is playful and friendly, incorporating dynamic Vinyasa Flow sequences with more restorative postures to help you feel both challenged and balanced by the end of class.  She imparts words of wisdom from her study of yoga philosophy and eastern psychology to encourage you to weave the teachings of yoga into everyday life.

Alexander Filmer-Lorch

Alexander Filmer-Lorch trained as a professional dancer with the John Cranko Ballet Academy Stuttgart. His extensive studies of Eastern psychology and philosophy, yogic disciplines and meditation took place in the traditional one-to-one practice of teacher and student. Alexander is founder of ‘Inside Meditation’ a modern school of neutral thought in London, offering regular CPD’s, mentoring programs, comprehensive meditation-therapy courses and teacher trainings. His work as a practitioner, mentor, author, lecturer, philosophical thinker, and teacher is a synthesis of 35 years of experience in movement, yogic disciplines, meditation, applied philosophy and Eastern psychology. His first book, ‘Inside Meditation’ was published in 2012, and his second book ‘The Inner Power of Stillness’ will be published by Handspring Publishing in August 2016.
